I loved loved loved being on vacation…

Doing whatever I wanted, not having a plan…

Not having a care in the world…

& just enjoying my time off with my husband…

But I am so so thankful that I am back home.

That I’m back in my routine…

Back on my normal schedule…

Back on my plan…

Most of us think that having a plan or routine sounds boring…

I used to think this way.

I didn’t want to commit to a plan or to a scheduled routine because I thought that would just get boring for me…

I wanted to just “go with the flow” of the day…

& whatever happens happens…

Because I don’t wanna be locked down! Lol

But what I found out is actually the opposite, surprisingly enough…

We as humans are USED TO a schedule…

We wake up at a certain time

Eat breakfast at a certain time

Get to work at a certain time

Eat lunch at a certain time

Leave work at a certain time

Pick up our kids at a certain time

Get home at a certain time

Go to bed at a certain time

So wouldn’t it just make sense to schedule our health into our day just like we do everything else?

Are your wheels turning yet?

We are scheduled beings…

We like order to our day…

I actually have a scheduled time that I go to the gym every day

& I call that time my “Office Hours”

I have scheduled an appointment in my calendar to MEET MYSELF at the gym…

& just like I wouldn’t miss a meeting at work…

I don’t miss my meeting with myself!

Schedule it into your day at a specific time that you can be consistent with…

Don’t schedule your “Office Hours” at 5 AM if you’re not a morning person, because you won’t be able to stay consistent!

Schedule a time that you can create your “meeting” to work for you long term…

This is a HUGE trick that I used on myself to create consistency in my workouts when I first started losing weight…

& now its just like waking up to go to work, it just happens naturally!
