I HAD A SERIOUS BREAKDOWN THIS WEEK…

& I wanted to QUIT EVERYTHING.

Have you ever felt this way? I knowwwww I’m not the only one…

I got seriously overwhelmed this week by a lot of negativity

& seriously thought I was just going to quit it all…

But then I realized, THAT WAS A REALLY DUMB THOUGHT lol

And then I started to reflect on WHY I felt this way…

It was because I wasn’t 100% focused on my goals.

I was focused on what everyone else was saying or doing –

INSTEAD of being focused on WHERE I WAS GOING.

I just felt tired, and dispassionate towards my goals…

ALL OF THEM. Like, every single one… I just felt burnt out!

I didn’t feel like I was moving forward in any of my goals…

Like I was literally stuck in a rut.

& it felt TERRIBLE.

This is the point that most of us QUIT on our goals…

(And the “old me” definitely would have.)

But here’s what I’ve learned over the years…

YOU CAN hit the RESET button on your Goals.

Lol say whatttttttttt?

You know how when the wifi goes out at home or is acting all slow
& you have to go hit the RESET button and then it magically works again??

Or how in the old days for those of you who remember Nintendo 64…

How the game would glitch & you would have to pull the cartridge out, BLOW in it and hit the RESET button on the system and it would work perfectly fine??

Well, guess what….

YOU HAVE A RESET BUTTON.

Your reset point is right before you quit.

When you start acting like the wifi or the glitchy game system…

YOU AREN’T BROKEN… You just need a RESET!

So this weekend I took some time to RESET MYSELF…

Spiritually

Mentally

Physically

& I needed it even more than I actually thought.

The reason we feel like we are stuck in a rut is because we have no gas in the tank!

When you go through a reset process, its all about filling your tank back up to tackle your goals!

So after Admitting that I was just Lolygagging through life…

I decided I needed to have a coming to Jesus moment with myself.

I went off to a quiet place with a journal, where I could relax & not be distracted

& here’s what I did…

1. I wrote my Life’s Mission – so I could get clear on what direction I actually wanted my life to go in.

2. I wrote all out all of the areas of my life I want to grow in (My walk with Christ, my Marriage, My Growth, My Business, My Health, My Contribution, My relationships, etc)

3. I wrote goals that I want to achieve in each category, as many as I could think of…

4. Then I picked the top 3 that I wanted to accomplish in the next month

5. I wrote out my daily tasks; what are the things I need to do daily to achieve this goal by the end of the month?

(Ex: I want to read 2 personal growth books this month, so I wrote that I need to read daily to achieve this goal)

6. Then I scheduled each of my daily tasks into my day, so there is a set time to accomplish it.

I’m not going to lie, it takes a lot of self awareness and honesty to admit you need a RESET…

But a Reset can 100% give you new focus and passion towards your goals…

You’ll feel excited and pumped to tackle your day again, instead of just “wandering” through your day to day…

So, take some time today and HIT YOUR RESET BUTTON!
