The number one enemy to your weight loss success is…

It Is Not Food

No, it’s indifference.

Personally, when I was trying to lose 65 pounds, I remember being indifferent towards myself.  And that was the reason why I kept starting and then quitting, and then starting again and quitting, and starting and quitting.

Indifference is when you see yourself in the mirror and you don’t like what you see, but yet you feel like you’ve just come to a point of no opinion.  Where you’re just like: “Oh, oh well. I don’t really care. This is just going to be how it is.”  Or you find yourself in front of the TV, eating that whole bag of pretzels and that whole thing of white chocolate, just being like: “Oh well I don’t really care.

People would comment on my weight, like: “Hey Kaelin, it looks like you’ve put on a little bit of freshman 15.”  And I would just answer: “Uh, it doesn’t really matter. I don’t care.”

I had a bad attitude about it.  I was just indifferent about the weight that I had gained.  And I just didn’t allow myself to feel the negative impact it had on my life.  I was not allowing myself to face the problem, so therefore I wasn’t allowing self love and passion for myself.  I didn’t allow myself to actually see what was going on.  I chose to be in a state of indifference about my body and about my health.  And this was the number one enemy of my weight loss success.

The more you feel like it doesn’t matter, the more you will keep telling yourself this is just who you are.  The more that you keep telling yourself nothing is going to change, then nothing is going to change.  You will feel like you don’t matter, because you’re literally telling yourself that you do not matter.  You are telling yourself that you don’t care enough about yourself to make a change, or to get a little uncomfortable.

This indifference is such a problem.  Today, I want you to become aware.  I want you to become aware of what you don’t like and I want you to become aware of the things that you’re saying in your mind.  I want you to become aware of your opinion about yourself.  It doesn’t have to be this way.

You chose this path for yourself.  You chose to not have energy.  You chose to not enjoy being in a dressing room.  You chose to feel the way that you do about yourself, because you chose not to make a change.  That is why indifference is the number one enemy of your weight loss success right now.

Today, I want you to get clear and aware of where you’re at, and how you actually feel.  Not what you tell everyone else, and not what you tell yourself.  Stop thinking that this is just the way that it is, because it doesn’t have to be.

I want you to realize how you actually feel, and I want you to decide right now that you’re going to do something about it.
