I was so tired of playing mind games with myself during my weight loss journey. I always felt like I wasn’t measuring up to the weight loss ads.

I always felt short, like I was always trying to force myself to fit into this box, and to fit into this expectation that the weight loss industry had set. It was really making me crazy.
I Had 65 Pounds To Lose, And I Just Wasn’t Able To Do It By Myself…
In my mind I was just thinking: “I have to have this product. I have to have this program. I have to have this thing that says I’m going to lose 30 pounds in a month, or lose 60 pounds in two months”. I had 65 pounds to lose. It wasn’t a small feat, but I just felt like there was so much mind games attached to it. I would see this ad of this skinny girl saying you can lose 30 pounds in a month, or have abs in four weeks, and feel pressure immediately.
I was just so overwhelmed and so frustrated, thinking: “I can’t do this.” I would start out in the first week, and if I hadn’t lost seven pounds in the first week I was like: “Oh my gosh, I’m never going to get to my monthly goal, so I’m just going to start over. I’m just going to forget all of this. I’m going to do it all over again, because I’ve already ruined it. I’ve already messed up.” It was just this constant mind game for me when I was trying to lose weight.
And then one day I just woke up and realized…
It’s all just false expectations!
Suzie is different than me. Suzie is going to lose her weight differently than me. She has a different life than me. I’m also going to lose weight differently than Jackie over here, because Jackie has a different life than me and Suzie, and I can’t keep comparing myself and putting myself on other people’s scale. I can’t look at what they’ve done, and use their same timeline.
The weight loss industry just puts all these false expectations on us, of how long it’s supposed to take us to lose weight, and what we’re supposed to do and what our body should look like in three weeks, or four weeks time, and if you haven’t lost X amount of weight in X amount of time, then it’s not working for you. You should do this program. It’s so crazy.
Ladies, it’s totally unrealistic.
I just want to invite you to a free seven-day experience to the Lady Boss Lifestyle, because this is a program that has mirrored my HEALTHY weight loss transformation, without any fad dieting. This program teaches you how to throw away your freaking scale and just focusing on doing the right things: eating, exercising right, and learning to love yourself again.
With all of that comes peace of mind. There is no more mind games.
I know a lot of you are probably struggling with the same things that I did on my journey. So, I hope that you take this advice and just know you’re not on a timeline. Your weight isn’t on a timeline. Your results are not on a timeline. You’re you and nobody else is you. No one else has your story, no one else has your life, no one else has your schedule, no one else has your kids, and no one else has your job. They don’t live the same life that you do.
Stop comparing yourself to other women and their journey. Stop comparing yourself to their timeline, and their results, because it’s much different than what you’re going to do. You might do it faster than them, or slower than them, but if you just focus on doing the right things, eating healthy, exercising and staying away from all of this weight loss industry crap, you will find your way and you will be able to do it.
