Do you do intervals

during cardio…

or a steady state?

I do both.

Sometimes I do my elliptical really fast or backwards. Sometimes I want to watch “House of Cards” or Netflix so I do a steady state of 45 minutes on the stairmill.

Find a good balance for you.

Using both of these are an incredible way to lose fat. Just don’t do the same thing every day. Your body has muscle memory and remembers the routine. It won’t work as hard as it did before because your body is used to the same workout. You should trick your body by changing things up. Keep things interesting and different.

Do several different types of cardio:

  • Go for a run outside.
  • Take a hike, get some fresh air.
  • Play tennis, racquetball, or volleyball.
  • Sign up for a yoga or spinning class.
  • Enroll in a dance or a self-defense class.

If you don’t keep it interesting, you will fall off the wagon. The same thing, day after day, week after week, you will lose interest…get bored.

Do both and keep it fun.
