I was the worst yo-yo dieter ever. I can just tell you if you’re someone that feels like you’re starting a plan, and quitting, and starting a different thing, and stopping it, and buying a magic pill over here, and trying it, and quitting that, and moving on the next thing because you can’t find the thing that works for you, trust me, I know exactly what you’re saying. You need to find the healthy version of losing weight. The one that works!

I Tried Everything
I could list out all of the plans that I’ve tried:
- counting calories,
- no carbs,
- counting points,
- no weighing in everyday,
- drinking detox stuff
- taking pills,
Just the craziest stuff. I was trying to find the solution that was right for me. However, none of these worked for me. I became exhausted. Then I found out it’s not about a quick fix. I figured out it was about eating healthy and exercising. Period. So, I started there.
My first thought was: “What if I made healthy versions of all of the foods I love?”
I don’t want to eat chicken and broccoli every day.
The first thing that you need to do is find five recipes. Five healthier options of your favorite foods. I learned that it is super simple to find healthy versions of those anything. I found healthy version of tacos and burritos, I hardly ever eat the real versions anymore. Instead of having a bowl of cereal for breakfast, I started having bowls of oatmeal and putting in almond butter and a little bit of honey and some Stevia and some protein powder. It was like having dessert for breakfast. I did not even miss cereal at all.
What’s funny is after I started eating those healthy versions of the foods that I liked and enjoyed, I didn’t even miss the other ones anymore. It really helped me stop yo-yoing and stop trying to find quick fix solutions because I started seeing amazing results just by eating healthier. I was able to separate the yo-yo dieting from myself and say: “you know what? I’m not going to diet anymore. I’m going to eat healthy. I’m going to live a healthy lifestyle. I’m going to eat foods that I like. I’m just going to find a healthier option for them.”
That’s what you should do right now. Get on Google. Look up healthy burrito recipe. Look up healthy protein ice cream recipe. Look up healthy brownies, healthy protein cookies. Look up those things because you don’t have to give up those foods.
I Do Not Have Time For That
We yo-yo because we can only do something that we hate or don’t want to do for so long, and then we quit. I don’t want to have to count stuff every day. I do not have time for that. I do not want to have to weigh every freaking piece of food that goes in my mouth. I do not have time for that. I don’t want to have to calculate stuff or any of that craziness because you can only do that for so long before it makes you crazy.
