So, a lot of us chose to be Eeyore’s instead of being Tigger’s.  Even though we all have crap going on in our life, some of us complain and some of us don’t.  Why? — Because it’s your choice to be a complainer.

The more you focus on the stuff that is not going right, or that is not going your way, the bigger and the more overwhelming it is going to seem.  On the other hand, the more you focus on the things that are going right in your life and how blessed you are with the opportunities that you do have, the more overwhelmed with gratefulness you’re going to be.

What Happens When You Complain?

When you complain, you get completely thrown off track.

You tell yourself: “I want to lose the 30lbs” yet you complain every single step of the way, right?  You complain about your workout, you complain about getting up early, you complain about the cardio that you have to do, you complain about being sore, you complain about having to eat healthy, you complain about not having the right workout pants, or shoes, like you literally find everything to complain about.

This is a huge problem, because now your brains is associating pain and suffering with a goal that is supposed to be healthy, right?  Instead of thinking – this goal is making me feel good, so I will continue – your brain is thinking – this goal is making me suffer, it must be bad for me, so I will do everything in my power to make it stop.  Then you find yourself with a goal that is a hundred times harder to achieve than it should be, right?

When all of those things you have to do to lose 30lbs, is making you complain, why would you ever want to do them?  Subconsciously, you’re sabotaging yourself and your results, so stop freaking complaining.

I Used To Be The Worst

Yep, guilty as charged.  I would complain about everything that I would do.  Then one day I realized: “You know what? No wonder I don’t want to go to the gym.  No wonder I don’t want to eat healthy.  All I do is freaking complain about it.”  

Start seeing every step along the way in a new light and stop complaining.  Be a Tigger not an Eeyore.
