The Secret to Loving the Gym
When I first started working out, I hated it so very much. It just wasn’t working for me. I didn’t know what I was doing in the gym.
I promise you though, if you just hang on, it will start to make sense. Watch somebody using an elliptical, study other people working out, or just become a LadyBoss and get the entire plan mapped out for you. You’ll learn a little bit more and you won’t feel so lost. Once you’re more comfortable in the gym, you won’t hate it as much.
If you convinced yourself that you’re going to hate working out…if you tell yourself:
♥ “I hate working out.”
♥ “I hate going to the gym.”
♥ “I hate doing this!”
Why would you ever want to workout?
How are you ever going to have the motivation to get yourself to the gym if you are constantly telling yourself you hate it? The moment you start having those negative thoughts, start telling yourself: “I love the way I feel when I leave the gym.”
♥ “I love getting closer to my goals.”
♥ “I love working out.”
♥ “I love what I’m doing, that I’m bettering my body.”
If you are just doing cardio or trying to lift for the first time, you need to fall in love with the process of working out. When you start having those positive thoughts, then you’ll want to go back. But if it’s painful, you’ll associate pain with going to the gym.
Fall in love with that process and I promise you, you’re going to love working out.
